Information about the Stage Academy

You will have plenty of questions to ask us before your child joins us for tuition and we hope to have answered most of them below.
If you still want more information just give us a call on 01484 723557
or use the contact form.

Where are the classes?

Our classes are held at The Stage Academy, Brighouse Arts Centre, 25 Commercial Street, Brighouse.

When are the classes?

Junior classes for children aged between 3 & 7 take place on Saturday mornings from 10:00am - 11:30pm.

Classes for 8 - 12 year olds take place on Saturday from 12:00pm to 1:30pm

For 13 years and older the classes are on Monday evenings from 7:15pm to 8:45pm.

What is the cost of the classes?

£6 for the junior classes and £15 for the older classes.
There is a 50% discount for siblings.

Is a uniform required?

All we ask is that your child has a T-shirt with the Stage Academy logo on it. This way everyone in the class is on an equal footing, and the only thing that stands out from the crowd is their personality!

Can my child choose only one of the classes?

As a performing arts school, we feel it is necessary for our students to have experience of all 3 of the performance disciplines; therefore our students must take part in every class.

Do the students take examinations?

No. The Stage Academy is geared towards our students, and the creativity that they can bring to a class. Most of the work our students produce is done gradually through a series of workshops and sessions and we feel this is the most effective method for achieving success.

Do you produce shows?

Yes. Each year The Stage Academy produces a professional show at a theatre. As well as this, parents and guardians will have the opportunity to watch a smaller production by the students, usually a 'work in progress', or mini project that the students have been working on during the term.
